Obsidian by Asurent manages some of southern Oregon’s most exclusive vacation properties, offering guests a refined experience deeply rooted in the region’s natural beauty. Founder Lisa Petrini envisioned a brand that reflected her love for the outdoors — particularly her fascination with rocks and arrowheads — while maintaining a look and feel that communicated luxury, trust, and sophistication. The challenge was to merge these inspirations into an identity that felt both grounded in nature and elevated in tone.
Through thoughtful collaboration and creative exploration, I developed a logo and visual identity that elegantly bridged Lisa’s personal connection to Oregon’s landscape with the prestige of her brand. The result was a mark that subtly nods to the raw strength and beauty of obsidian stone while conveying the polish and precision expected of a high-end property management firm. The identity system — including business cards, stationery, and brand collateral — established Obsidian as a trusted name in luxury vacation rentals with a visual presence as refined as the properties it represents.
